It was a whirlwind week…on the 20th November we opened our sixteenth annual art exhibition, showcasing works of all the students of The Art Studio Mumbai. Our theme this year was ‘Seen Unseen’.
Of course, there were a lot of logistics to take care of prior to the opening, but I won’t get into that. Our evening started by welcoming our chief guest, Mr Asad Lalljee of Avid Learning, who gave us insightful statistics on why ‘Art Matters’. This was followed by an amazing performance art by one of our little artists, Vida Dharia. The performance, inspired by the artist, Heather Hansen, had the audience spellbound!
The evening continued with the visitors admiring artworks created by students as young as 4 years to adults and college students. There was a huge variety of mediums and interpretations of the umbrella theme – Seen Unseen. The kids proudly showed their creations to their family and friends while they gorged on yummy snacks and drinks.
The Art Studio Mumbai hosts their annual exhibition each year, which showcases the outstanding work being made by student artists at the studio. This event is dedicated to celebrating the creative talent and growing art practice of our student artist community.
