“Our approach to art is about encouraging originality and letting each student find their own path. This exhibition demonstrates their ability to explore text as an art form, connecting them with a global movement in contemporary art.”
— Purnima Sampat, Director, The Art Studio Mumbai.
The Art Studio Mumbai is thrilled to present Artextic, a one-of-a-kind art exhibition that celebrates the creative interplay between visual art and text. This year’s show features the incredible work of our students and invites audiences to explore new realms of artistic expression inspired by words, letters, and language itself.
Artextic opens on November 18th and will be held at Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery, Nariman Point, Mumbai
In keeping with our tradition of unique, thought-provoking themes, Artextic brings to life a range of visual forms and linguistic elements. Our young artists, ages 4 through adult, have taken inspiration from a variety of sources, blending their artwork with text in ways that are bold, thoughtful, and imaginative
Opening Day Highlights
The opening day will feature special presentations by notable figures from the world of calligraphy and lettering art. Renowned calligrapher Shri Achyut Palav will open the exhibition with a live demonstration, offering a rare glimpse into the intricate art of letterform.
Sanjana Chatlani, known for her commercial calligraphy work, will share insights into her professional journey and her approach to bringing words to life. Interactive workshops with Sanjana and artist Ashutosh Apte will provide opportunities for all ages to get hands-on with text-inspired art, from fun calligraphy for children to abstract painting workshops using letterforms.
