Our Philosophy
The Art 4 Kids program encompasses a broad range of subject designed to meet the needs of children and help them explore their artistic and creative potential to the fullest. The subjects cover drawing, painting, colouring, mixed media as well as craft.

Art is a skill that is honed over time. We at Art4All, understand the importance of building that foundation right through the preschool years. Our toddlers express themselves through their art working with a range of materials. They are introduced to drawing, painting, print, collage, construction and more. Important skills such as the ability to follow directions, fine motor skills and prewriting skills are also developed along with their imagination and creativity.

In the kindergarten years, students are introduced to the basic elements of line, colour, shape and texture. These elements are learned through viewing activities and then applied to their artwork. Students participate in many art making experiences utilizing a range of materials. In addition to drawing and painting, students work in printmaking, collage, sculpture and paper manipulation. They also develop a range of techniques and vocabulary to enhance their art-making skills. Through trips and discussions, students see that the visual arts are a part of their lives and of their community.

In the first and second grades, students learn about the basic building blocks of art. We focus on the elements of art and students practice utilizing these elements in their own artwork and identifying them within the artworks of the masters. Emphasis is placed on refining their skills with an increasing control of each media. They will be exposed to drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, fibres and three dimensional art. They will critique and discuss works of relevant artists and artwork from different cultures.

Upper Elementary |Grade: 3rd – 4th

Students continue to build on skills learnt, elements and principles of art, critical and creative skills, art history and culture. They learn to work with various tools, techniques and mediums and incorporate them into their artworks. Students are encouraged to make choices that enhance the communication of their ideas. Emphasis is placed on the use of sketchbooks to explore ideas and experiment with mediums. Exposure to the works of famous artists and the arts and crafts of artisans from many cultures plays an integral role in the curriculum.

Middle School I|Grade: 5th – 6th

The children in this group transition from their elementary art program to an expanded curriculum in which they gain technical proficiency in multiple mediums. Students work on their projects over a longer period of time where they are taught sketchbook and research skills and how to experiment and grow from their experiences. Students are introduced to a wide range of skills, mediums and processes, working in both two and three dimensional mediums. They will be able to identify and discuss the visual effects of the elements and principles of design in the natural and built environment and in their own work and the work of other artists.

Middle School II |Grade: 7th – 8th

Batch Location — Prabhadevi
- Batch 1: Monday 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM
The Middle School II program teaches students to become critical thinkers and visual problem solvers. Using the creative process of brainstorming, analyzing and evaluating art, students solve problems using visual art structures, at the same time leaving room for their own personal ideas and artistic style. Studio projects connect to art history, art criticism and written reflections.
