  • Woodcut Printmaking

Woodcut Printmaking

Woodcut printmaking is a traditional art form that involves carving an image onto a block of wood and printing the image onto paper or another surface. The carved areas of the block do not receive ink, while the uncarved areas do, resulting in a relief printing process where the inked areas are raised and transfer onto the paper. This creates a unique and distinctive style of print.

A Woodcut Print Making workshop is an opportunity to learn this traditional art form and develop your skills in printmaking. Typically, the workshop will cover the basics of woodcut printmaking, including selecting the appropriate tools, carving the block, and creating prints. The workshop may be led by an experienced printmaker who can provide guidance and feedback as you work on your own print.

We are excited to invite you to join our upcoming Woodcut Print Making workshop on 22nd – 23rd April 2023 at THE ART STUDIO MUMBAI, PRABHADEVI. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced printmaker, this workshop is a great opportunity to develop your skills and learn more about this traditional art form.

During the workshop, you’ll learn how to carve an image onto a block of wood and create beautiful prints that are uniquely your own. Our experienced artists will guide you through the process, providing feedback and answering any questions you may have along the way.

The workshop is open to anyone interested in learning more about woodcut printmaking, regardless of skill level or experience. Space is limited, so we encourage you to register now to secure your spot.

We look forward to seeing you there and creating beautiful prints together!
