This workshop invites students to explore the fashion world through an investigative and sustainable lens. Rather than producing finished garments, students will engage deeply with the process of fashion design—learning to build thoughtful collections rooted in concept, culture, and materiality. They will create moodboards inspired by personal and cultural references, experiment with fabric manipulation and surface embellishment using recycled and found materials, and develop styling concepts that reflect both identity and sustainability. Hands-on exercises include textile sampling and expressive figure drawing. The outcome is a rich body of portfolio-ready exploratory work—including sketches, annotated fabric experiments, styling layouts, and cultural research—that demonstrates a strong personal voice and a mindful design approach.
